An AI facial recognition platform for Thales Italy
UX Analysis, UI Design Test & Validation for development support
Krein assisted Thales’s R&D team with the design support for the F2G project, an AI facial recognition platform conceived to be deployed across all airports supported by Thales’s information systems. The primary goal of this platform is to provide an extremely fast onboarding process with the help of a distinctive digital identity for each passenger.
Strategy & How
Krein conducted two Design Thinking workshops with the involvement of the R&D Project Managers and the Development Team. The tech infrastructure, both hardware and software, had already been implemented upstream and included a device designed for video image acquisition, facial recognition AI software, and a variant management Plesk. The goal of the workshop strategy was to analyze the usability of the platform, both for the airport desk operator and for the final user.
Final solutions
A new “stand-alone” product, integrated with user journeys for various end-users, compatible across a range of devices, and complete with its very own unique brand. This product represents a new chance for buyers to accelerate the onboarding process by as much as 30%, while also diminishing human errors by 45%.
